Dr. Oetker has launched a new hot food-to-go system with Chicago Town hot ‘Pizza to Go’, now available to retailers across the country.

The Chicago Town hot ‘Pizza to Go’ cabinet costs £550 (plus VAT), and comes with free installation, training and PoS, such as menu cards and disposables.

Available in the two most popular Chicago Town Pizza flavours, Loaded Cheese and Loaded Pepperoni, the pizza can be sold in quarter slices (RRP £2.50), half pizza or whole (RRP £7), giving retailers the option to create their own meal deals.

fresh-hot-tasty.jpgRichard Cooper, senior brand manager at Dr. Oetker, said: “As a special introductory offer, every retailer who signs up will receive free stock which amounts to the cost of the cabinet.”

With the frozen pizza category growing in sales by 8.1% across independent and symbols, and pizza being the second most popular meal eaten out of home, Cooper adds the concept aims to build on this trend by offering shoppers a hot on-the-go option.

“Shopper expectations are growing and they’re now looking for new things to try. The cabinet provides a point of difference and some in-store theatre,” he added.
