Butterkist’s bright ideas make the category pop

Butterkist has launched the popcorn market’s first-ever pop ‘n’ pour product, which it hopes will grow the category even further. 

Sales of Butterkist’s microwave range are up by 32% 

The Pop ‘n’ Pour cartons consist of two bags of plain microwavable popcorn and two sachets of sauce, which is warmed up then drizzled over the popcorn. 

They are available from this month and come in Chocolate and Chocolate Orange flavours, RRP £2.29.

 “We predict the Pop ‘n’ Pour range to do extremely well, especially as the Chocolate flavour boasts only 64 calories per serving and the Chocolate Orange 67 calories,” said Helena Blincow, Butterkist brand manager. 

“The new range adds to the variety of popcorn that can be enjoyed at home.” 

Butterkist has also launched a limited-edition Strawberries & Cream flavour popcorn, RRP £1, and two new variety multipacks, RRP £1.69 with a £1 promotional price.
