Boost packs a punch with new premium protein products

Protein Boost contains 20g of protein, no added sugar and less than 150 calories. The brand is backing the launch with PoS and sampling activity.

Boost is helping independent retailers drive sales next year with new products and strong consumer activity.

From January, the brand is rolling out Protein Boost, which comes in Strawberry and Chocolate flavours in 310ml bottles and is price-marked at £1.29.

Simon Gray, Boost Drinks managing director, said: “There are a few protein drinks out already, but thesy are priced at the premium end. We wanted to hit a good price and make protein available for everyone.”

Boost is also rolling out a packaging revamp across its energy drink range and a new look and recipe for its sport isotonic drinks.

Later this year, the brand will launch a 250ml PMP summer limited edition, as well as an on-pack promotion to drive sales.

“We want to carry on rewarding retailers, but also consumers with on-pack activity. We’re very good at getting product to shelf, but now we’re focusing even more on getting product off shelf into consumers’ hands as well,” Gray added.

More than 350,000 samples will be sent to students during Freshers’ Week and the brand plans to advertise more on Asian TV and radio.
