Bobby’s Foods expands sweets and snacks range

Bobby’s Foods has launched several new snacks and sweets products, exclusive to the independent channel.

They include £1 price-marked Crazy Faced Laser Pops, which have a lollipop at one end and a picture projecting torch at the other. The lollies feature six different characters to encourage customers to collect them.

Bobby’s is also introducing Blue Razz and Fruit Punch into its Chewy Bon Bon range. Both products will be available in 150g bags, RRP 99p.

Chris Smith, marketing executive at Bobby’s Foods, said that Bobby’s range of confectionery products has been growing steadily over the past few years and encourages retailers to stock up in time for Christmas.

Away from sweets, Bobby’s is expanding its big bag snacks range with the introduction of £1 price-marked Onion Rings and the launch of Mini Cheesy Cracker Snacks.

Smith said: “We have seen a huge increase in sales this year from our big bag snack range, with a particular growth in the forecourt convenience sector.”

Bobby’s has seen 4.3 million big bag snacks sold so far this year and currently supply 19,000 retailers with snacks, sweets, cakes and drinks. Bobby’s offers a straight to store delivery service and is not available in cash and carries.
