The newly implemented ‘Suzy’s Charter for Workplace Safety’ aims to make places of work safer for employers and employees.
Launched last week, the new charter was developed to help identify and mitigate safety risks at work.
The Suzy Lamplugh Trust worked alongside businesses to develop the charter’s details, which include providing safety training and having a system in place for colleagues to covertly raise alarms.
ACS chief executive, James Lowman said: “[Suzy’s Charter for Workplace Safety] will be useful for retailers when thinking about how to ensure staff feel safe and supported.”
