Each week RN speaks to retailers to find out how they use social media and the internet to market their stores and build stronger ties with their communities. This week Darren Rackham finds out what retailer Rav Garcha does to increase his online presence

“It’s really important for us to have an online presence. We use Facebook for the shop because it’s useful for letting people know what events we’ve got coming up and what promotions we’ve got on. We’re also involved in a trial project with a company in Finland which is making a website for convenience selling. It should be very interesting in the coming months to see where that goes. It’s certainly a different way for us to sell. We are and will always be a bricks and mortar business but we do want to find out what other opportunities are available out there.”
