With Christmas just around the corner, retailers have shared their ideas fo
r creatingfantastic seasonal displays.
Janette Tucker of Lifestyle Express Winscombe in Somerset has wrapped up bottles of wine, stocked up on crackers and turned her dumpbins into giant presents. “We’re making our own displays without spending any money. We think it looks fantastic,” she said.
“Don’t forget promotions,” said Sunder Sandher of S&S One Stop in Leamington Spa. He’s offering any three for £5 on boxes of After Eight, Cadbury Roses and Celebrations, which offers customers a saving of up to £10. He’s also added a bay of gift ideas, such as cuddly toys, action figures and shower kits.
Harry Singh Hallen of Londis Store & Post Office Carstairs Junction has created a fixture with Christmas cards, sweets, biscuits and chocolates in his Lanark store. Multipacks of soft drinks are positioned close by.
Jatinder Sahota has already had his Christmas displays out for three weeks in Max’s Londis in Kent. He has a large display of festive goodies, as well as a free-standing display unit from United Biscuits that includes McVitie’s Victoria and Family Circle and Jacob’s Selection.
Meanwhile, Harj Dhasee of Nisa Village Store in Gloucestershire has placed a large display of advent calendars at the front of his store and surrounded it with Christmas decorations.
