Londis fascia report

Brysons Londis, Prestwick, Ayrshire

been with Londis for 16 years

I’ve been with Londis for 16 years, ever since we expanded our petrol station to include a convenience store.

They make it easier for us to run the business when it comes to promotions, deliveries – that kind of thing. The EPoS and back office systems they have in place make it very easy for us to create and receive orders. Being able to get all my stock on one delivery from one supplier is much more cost effective than going to cash and carries or different suppliers for different products.

Since Londis was taken over by Booker, their promotions have been much stronger in terms of the savings we can offer our customers and the margins we get. This really helps our business and gives us a competitive edge over other stores.

In January, we had a major refit at our store, really developing our coffee and food to go. Londis were really helpful with this. Their area manager really guided us on store layout and the category management side of things. We really would have struggled to get the store looking as good as it does without Londis’s help.

Food to go was a focus of Brysons Londis’s refit

Part of major food and drink wholesaler Booker Group, Londis aims to work with independent retailers to give local communities what they need from a convenience store.

According to Londis, Booker Group’s buying power means it can deliver a number of benefits to retailers, including lower prices, exclusive products and improved quality. This is all with the aim of boosting footfall and profits for members.

The symbol group also supports its retailers in embracing some of the biggest footfall-driving innovations in convenience, such as food to go, chilled and meal solutions. Alongside this, it is able to give support on some of the newest trends, such as protein, free-from, premium spirits and American confectionery.

Significantly, Londis operates a zero-cost model for its retailers that includes a fully delivered service and support package. Londis’s fresh offer, meanwhile, includes more than 2,000 lines and a market-leading promotional package.

Among the benefits Londis offers its members are free membership, promotions every four weeks, loyalty discounts up to 4%, and free promotion leaflets and PoS support.
