Unitas ‘Brand Box’ sample scheme pushed back
The new scheme will enable retailers to sample upcoming and newly released products
A scheme enabling retailers to test demand for new products in their stores has been delayed.
Wholesale group Unitas had planned to launch Brand Box, a scheme giving free trial stock to stores, in early 2020.
Challenged on delays to the scheme, a source at the group reassured retailers. They told betterRetailing: “The initial boxes haven’t gone live yet as they are scheduled from late October.
When the scheme was announced, Unitas said it had been designed to take the risk away from new products.
