Single delivery for One Stop chilled and frozen

One Stop retailers will now have chilled and frozen goods delivered together following a supply switch from Tesco to Booker.

One Stop retailers will now have chilled and frozen goods delivered together following a supply switch from Tesco to Booker.

The move follows the opening of a new distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead, Herts. Franchisees had previously received chilled and frozen products in separate deliveries. Serge Khunkhun, of One Stop Woodcross Convenience Store in Bilston, said service had improved following the changes. “Delivery drivers now help us bring our stock in rather than leaving it there and driving off,” he said. “Having chilled and frozen delivered in one makes running the store more efficient, as well.”

However, another One Stop retailer told RN he had experienced issues. “They’ve made the switch in December, during the busiest time of the year. I’ve had one late delivery and a missing pallet from another,” they said.

A Booker spokesperson added: “Booker is pleased to announce the opening of a new distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead, which is serving Booker customers, as well as One Stop. We believe the increased capacity will help bring choice, price and service benefits for all our retail customers.”
