Retailers will be able to access new product trends unavailable in traditional wholesalers following the launch of an online supplier.
RangeMe launched in the UK last week and offers store owners more than 750,000 products from 200,000 suppliers. As well as being able to buy traditional convenience goods from the company, retailers can access homeware, wellness products and electronics.
The company’s chief executive, Nicky Jackson, told betterRetailing RangeMe has built experience in convenience through partnerships with major retailers such as 7 Eleven in the US. “Retailers can discover products around the world. They can message the suppliers, request a sample and cut down the time products end up on shelves.”
Referencing the success retailers saw with social media trends similar to Little Moons, Jackson added: “We’ve been able to provide feedback on trends six to 12 months before they became popular, such as those trending on Instagram.”
