Seasonal push from Spar and Budgens

Spar and Budgens retailers can get a bigger slice of the Christmas market this year as both groups have launched special festive lines.

Spar has introduced several new alcohol products, including a limited-edition Perlezza Magnum 150cl, RRP £20, and a 20cl Perlezza bottle.

Spar Brand has also launched its first Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – Fern Hills, RRP £7.99, and two price-marked 50cl spirits lines for its Imperial Vodka and Blended Scotch Whisky.

Away from alcohol, Spar Brand has revamped its Mince Pies and is offering Christmas dinner staples such as streaky bacon and ready-to-roast parsnips, alongside party favourites including prosciutto, mini cocktail sausages and mixed olives.

Meanwhile, Budgens has expanded its premium Discover the Taste offering, with an investment that means there are more than 100 lines available in the range, compared with 35 at last year’s launch.
