Pro-retail: What to expect this year

Retailers who want to make the most of sport this summer should head to Pro-retail later this month.

The trade show, which takes place on April 26 and 27, at the International Centre, Telford, will have a sporting theme, under the banner Fit To Compete.

“The main theme this year is Fit To Compete, tying in with this year’s big sporting events,” said Palmer and Harvey head of channel development Rory Brick. “It’s an opportunity for independents to have a point of difference from the multiples.”

Retailers can pick up exclusive deals from more than 200 suppliers and find out how they can create great in-store theatre during the summer.

“Our message to retailers who are thinking of going is that if you only choose one trade show to attend, then make it Pro-retail. It’s the largest trade shows and all of the major suppliers will be there under one roof,” said Brick.

He added the show will offer retailers cost-saving tips to offset increased costs, such as the national living wage.

As well as learning from suppliers, there will be opportunities to talk to and learn from other retailers.

Retailers can also visit Retail Express’ owner Newtrade on stand C40 to find out how they can become part of the Independent Achievers Academy this year.

It’s free to attend and P&H is offering free transport to retailers from around the country. To register go to pro-retail.co.uk
