Nisa set to announce Retail Summit

Nisa set to announce Retail Summit

Nisa has scrapped its regional retailer meetings until the autumn to help prepare for a yet-to-be-announced Nisa Retail Summit in the summer.

The date and time of the new Nisa Retail Summit is yet to be confirmed.

Messages sent to members, seen by Better Retailing, said the decision came from ‘partner feedback from the last round of regionals’ and pre-Christmas events with suppliers.

Regular regional meetings, allowing retailers to discuss issues, were promised by Nisa as part of its consultation with store owners over the company’s acquisition by Co-op. However, several store owners claimed attendance had dropped throughout 2019.

Instead of the now-cancelled February regional meeting, Nisa will host eight ‘partner/supplier engagement events’ from around 23 February to 7 March. The Nisa Monitoring Group, Large Format Group and Holiday Parks Group will continue as normal.

Describing the changes, a Nisa spokesperson told stores: “All of this means we will have an increased number of events to gain important insight and feedback from our partners, and will be working with more of our suppliers to host local events and identify key partnerships to provide additional support for our retailers.”

Nisa’s annual Retail Expo in Stoneleigh will take place on 24-25 March, where the group will showcase its new smaller ‘Nisa Express’ format.
