McColl’s switching of stores to the Morrisons Daily brand increased last week with seven sites launched on a single day.

The group announced its 100th Morrisons Daily store to investors on 12 October, two months ahead of schedule. Three days later, Morrisons wholesale specialist David Ranger said the number stood at 114 Morrisons Daily sites, with seven McColl’s stores reopening under the new brand on one day.

In its announcement to investors, McColl’s reaffirmed its target of 350 of its 1,200 stores being switched to the Morrisons Daily fascia by November 2022.
