Unitas announces departures of commercial and financial directors

Cooper and Bone are to leave the firm in the coming months

Unitas Wholesale

Unitas Wholesale has announced commercial director Kirsty Cooper and finance director Richard Bone are to leave the buying group.

Cooper will leave the business in the coming months to pursue “alternative opportunities.” She took on her role in October 2023, having held previous senior positions at Capri-Sun, Britvic, CCEP, Red Bull, Greene King and Ramsden International.

Unitas said she was “instrumental” in its partnership with Auditel, which helped the wholesale group’s members receive discounts on energy supply, packaging, banking and logistics. Some wholesale members claimed they were able to pass these savings onto their retail customers. Cooper also helped develop Unitas’s central distribution and supply chain optimisation strategy.

Bone will leave in July after more than three years to take on a new role within the wholesale industry.

Unitas managing director John Kinney said: “Since Richard joined the company in 2020, he has made an outstanding contribution to Unitas, leading the finance and systems teams in making great strides in the improvement of collection, distribution, and visibility of member earnings. Richard will leave the Finance function in a strong position. Whilst we are sad to see Richard go, we wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
