Spar Scotland has launched a six-month campaign to showcase the benefits of joining its symbol group, which is supplied by CJ Lang & Son Ltd — distributor to more than 300 Spar stores across the country.

The ‘Discover Spar Scotland’ initiative is targeting independent retailers across the country who are not currently part of the Spar network, encouraging them to consider how the partnership could support their business growth and long-term development.

To launch the campaign, Spar Scotland has revealed a new lorry livery featuring independent retailer Saleem Sadiq of Spar Renfrew. Sadiq, a long-standing Spar partner, began his journey with the symbol group in 1984 at Spar Duntocher, before moving to Spar Renfrew a decade later. Since then, the store has become one of the most awarded independently owned Spar stores in Scotland.

Praising the support from the Dundee-based team, Sadiq said: “Throughout this journey, we have always been supported by the team in Dundee, benefiting from an excellent delivery service, strong product availability, and first-class marketing and promotional support.
