LED light warning for stores

Retailers have been urged to check their LED lights for faults after store owners were unable to claim repairs under warranty.

A number of store owners reported faults where their ceiling lights turned yellow. One retailer told Better Retailing: “I bought the lights five years ago, and the supplier hasn’t responded to queries about faults.”

Chillers and arson are main fire risks in stores

Paul Jordon, managing director of shopfitting company the Jordon Group, said: “The fault is usually caused by issues with the transformer.”
