EXCLUSIVE: DHL Reaches Pass My Parcel Agreement

DHL has assigned its responsibility of Pass My Parcel to its UK subsidiary, UK Mail.

DHL has assigned its responsibility of Pass My Parcel to its UK subsidiary, UK Mail.

According to Smiths News, the service will start trading as DHL Parcel UK Limited from 1 October, with both companies working together until June 2019 to minimise the effect on retailers who use the service.

Jonathan Bunting, chief operating officer of Smiths News’ parent company Connect Group, said: “We are delighted to have been able to reach this agreement with DHL who are committed to grow the network. We have received great support from all of our parcel shop partners and we are pleased that they will continue to provide and benefit from this service with DHL”.

Smiths News announced the closure of Pass My Parcel in June, after a “very disappointing” financial performance in 2017. German shipping company DHL stepped in and took over the service two weeks later, amid reports delivery of Amazon parcels were dropped during the takeover.
