Retailers are driving footfall with Amazon Lockers as the online giant announces plans to gain more sites in convenience stores.

Amazon Lockers are a self-service kiosk for customers to collect their parcels from businesses when they are not at home to sign for them. 

Parmjeit Chopra, owner of Nisa Local Caledonian Road in London, said: “Three out of 10 customers who come into the shop to use the locker spend money in the shop.”

Aman Uppal of One Stop Mount Nod in Coventry said that since introducing it a year ago, 50% of people who use the locker, which is located outside the store, shop with them,
