Imperial Tobacco has unveiled details of its Partnering for Success initiative, which is designed to offer retailers guidance ahead of potential legislation changes for tobacco.

It provides information, advice and support around the European Union Tobacco Products Directive (EUTPD II) and standardised packaging legislation.

The initiative has already kicked off with information packs, presentations and engagement evenings.

Duncan Cunningham, head of corporate and legal affairs for Imperial Tobacco, said the company is still fighting EUTPD II through the courts.

“However, until the outcome of these challenges is known, as a responsible business we also recognise the need to help prepare our partners for compliance,” he added.
