Convenience water sales soared by 210% on Tuesday as the nation seared under temperatures of more than 33°c

The survey by EPoS Now was carried out across 500 UK stores and found that pre-made ice sales also had a 112% spike compared to the daily average.

The findings showed that the price of a bottle of water in London is 26% higher than the UK average.

Jacyn Heaven, CEO of EPoS Now, said the survey shows the importance for businesses to monitor the weather to ensure the consumers are kept hydrated and safe.

“We found out 62% of our retailers that sell electric fans ran out of stock yesterday which highlights the importance of forecasting,” she added.
