New Premier League promotion launched by CCEP
Watching football at home presents a £1.4bn opportunity to retailers, with the on-pack promotion aiming to help retailers meet the high demand for soft drinks as the new season kicks off
Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has announced a new on-pack promotion to mark the start of the new Premier League season, running until October.
The promotion gives shoppers the chance to win club shirts across all 20 Premier League sides and shoppers will be able to enter an online prize draw with every purchase to be in with a chance of winning.
The new Premier League promotion will roll out across 1.5l, 2l and multipack can formats of Coca-Cola Original Taste and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, including Cherry and Vanilla flavours.
The giveaway will also be available across non-price-marked and price-marked packs (PMP) of Coca-Cola Original Taste Cherry 1.5l and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar 1.75l.
Supported by radio, digital activity, a partnership with Sky and PoS materials, the on-pack promotion aims to help retailers meet the high demand for soft drinks during the Premier League season, as well as tap into the growing at-home drinking opportunities the new season will bring.
Paul Hiskens, associate director partnerships & sponsorships at CCEP, said: “Watching football at home presents a £1.4bn opportunity to retailers each year, which we expect to grow in 2020/21 as many fans will be watching the game from home, unsure when they will return to stadiums.
“This coupled with the fact that larger formats and multipack cans are seeing double-digit growth across grocery and convenience stores means this on-pack promotion presents a huge opportunity for retailers to create some excitement in store and grow their sales over the coming months.”
