Camelot chief executive Nigel Railton praised retailers for their help returning National Lottery ticket sales to growth “for the first time in many years”.

Speaking at Camelot’s Retailer Celebration Awards at the Leicester Space Centre, Railton outlined recent changes for store owners including the free helpline, larger rep team and new commission payments for ‘match two’ National Lottery wins.

He added that the new commission had bagged Lottery sellers an extra £2m since it was introduced.

The CEO also promised a “focus week in retail” in November to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the National Lottery.
