Food-to-go sales could be a piece of cake for convenience retailers this month as McVitie’s brings back its on-the-go range.

The six-strong range includes McVitie’s Chocolate Hobnobs Slices, McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestive Slice and McVitie’s Caramel Millionaire Slices and will be relaunched with three “two for £1” price-marked packs.

The relaunch will also see a longer shelf life and smaller cases of 12, which will be available alongside cases of 18 and 24.

Claire Hooper, senior brand manager of McVitie’s Cake Company, said: “We see this relaunch as an opportunity for us to continue growing the cake on-the-go category, so that consumers can enjoy our products in convenience packed sizes when out and about.”
