Barny, the bear-shaped sponge snack, is hitting convenience stores this month to help retailers boost their on-the-go snacking sales.

The brand, which launched last year into multiple grocers and is already the number-two children’s biscuit brand, is available in a new individually-wrapped 30g format to appeal to shoppers on the move.
Its launch into convenience is being supported by a £4m marketing investment, including TV ads.
“We’ve been delighted with the success of Barny – it’s been one of the biggest biscuit launches in four years, and has already achieved more than £7m sales in less than 12 months,” said Rick Lawrence, Mondelez International head of biscuits.
