A ‘no leaks’ promise by Energizer has been added its best-selling battery lines in a bid to boost sales over the festive season. 

According to the brand, almost 75% of consumers have experienced leaking batteries, so it hopes the new on-pack claim will help separate them from competitor brands in the run-up to Christmas. 

The promise is the first of its kind in the category, making a real point of difference from competitors. 

With up to 32% of all batteries being bought in the run-up to Christmas, the brand could be well-placed to meet seasonal demand. 

Mandy Iswarienko, marketing director for Energizer, said: “Our research shows our ‘No Leaks. Guaranteed’ promise will be a driving force for new sales, with 69% of shoppers saying this message would be very appealing and 50% saying they would be more likely to
purchase.”

With the top-five children’s toys for this Christmas all requiring batteries, Energizer is hoping the promise will resonate with consumers during this lucrative sales period.
