Christmas TV listings should have arrived in all stores by tomorrow and as a sector worth more than £20m in revenue for retailers, it is one of the biggest sales opportunities of the year.
The Radio Times Christmas double issue alone drove £5.7m of sales revenue through tills last Christmas and was expected to push that even further this year.
Smiths News advises retailers to allocate extra space to these issues, including on the counter and in free standing display units, where possible.
Christmas double issues are bought by not only regular TV listings customers but also by new customers so it is important to maximise visibility.
