Promotions run by Mail Newspapers in the past two weeks have driven a sales uplift of more than 200,000 additional copies, the publisher has said.

Giveaways have included a Proms CD and giant Premier League wallchart, as well as the inclusion of style pull-outs and an unseen Princess Diana photo album.

A spokesman for the titles said: “We continue to invest in the quality journalism, features and supplements that loyal Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday readers love.

“As well as this comprehensive marketing and promotions schedule, and our leading loyalty programme which is focused on rewarding purchases of our print titles.”
