Burton’s Biscuit Company is returning to screens with its advert for Maryland Cookies, ‘What would you do for a Maryland?’

The £350,000 campaign will also be backed by social media advertising, with the TV advert premiering on 1 February during ITV’s The Voice, alongside popular programmes including Take Me Out and Celebrity Juice.

When the campaign launched last spring, it reached more than 65% of the brand’s core audience (women aged 16 to 35). The number of people who have purchased Maryland also increased by 50% during the campaign and drove sales across the wider range, including Maryland Big & Chunky lines and Maryland Mini’s.

The news of the brand’s return to TV follows the launch of Burton’s ‘Under 100 calorie club’ – its range of reduced calorie biscuits, including four Maryland lines, in line with the company’s commitment to leading the way in portion control.
