Tortilla Pockets announced in Old El Paso’s biggest launch of the year
The wraps are sealed at the bottom to offer a first-to-market, mess-free solution to mealtimes
Old El Paso has added Tortilla Pockets to its range, available to independent convenience stores now as part of a meal kit or as a pack of eight.
Tortilla Pockets “are sealed at the bottom to offer a mess-free solution at mealtimes and are ideal for a quick bite on the go,” according to owner Old El Paso.
The launch will be supported by a £2m campaign, including social media, TV and video on demand advertising. The product will also be supported by in-store activity to excite shoppers.
Maeve Judge, marketing manager at Old El Paso, said: “With more and more shoppers entering the World Foods aisle, it’s an exciting time for the category.
“Tortilla Pockets are set to bring 69% of incremental growth to the overall category, as well as help the lunch category by 61%, which is currently worth £3.9bn in the UK.”
