As demand for meat-free options continues to rise, Quorn is launching two Fishless Fillets to its frozen core range.

Available from March in two varieties, Breaded and Battered, the Fishless Fillets come in packs of two, RRP £2.99.

The two products are marked with a ‘totally vegan’ flash on pack and join Quorn Fishless Fingers in the range.

Alex Glen, Quorn marketing director, said vegan products make up 12% of the company’s range and is an area that is growing.

“For the first time ever, more than half of all UK consumers are reducing their meat consumption and 57% of people believe that reducing meat benefits the environment,” he said.

“There’s never been a better opportunity for convenience retailers to embrace meat-free products and promote their benefits.”

The company claims that these launches make them the only UK meat-free supplier that can provide alternatives to the five most popular family meals – spaghetti bolognaise, pizza, roast chicken, fish fingers and fish & chips.

The new products will benefit from TV advertising as part of a £12m investment in Quorn this year.
