Espresso Monster gets a caramel makeover
With a brand now worth £5.5m, Monster Espresso is back with a new flavour
Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) is expanding its Espresso Monster range with a new flavour, Espresso Monster Salted Caramel.
Available in a premium black 250ml can, the new flavour addition follows on from the nationwide launch of the Espresso Monster range earlier this year, which is now worth £5.5m.
The flavoured cold coffee drink will provide further opportunity for retailers to capitalise on the ready-to-drink coffee category, currently worth £139m, growing by 32%.
The new variety is the third product to join the Espresso Monster range that includes Espresso & Milk and Vanilla Espresso.
The launch of Espresso Monster Salted Caramel will be supported by PoS material, and the range will also be available in a £1.99 price-marked pack option to the independent channel from the New Year.
Simon Harrison, vice president of commercial development at CCEP GB, said: “The Salted Caramel flavour profile is already popular with consumers in coffee shops and across other food and drink categories.
“We’re therefore confident that the new vareity will help to fuel further growth of the Espresso Monster range.”
