Wrigley is sending retailers a bolt from the blue by launching limited-edition Skittles “Once In a Blue Moon”.
The launch is supported by social media and a TV ad, set to run until December. Retailers can request PoS materials from their local Wrigley representative.
Available now for eight weeks, the packs contain a cherry cola flavoured blue sweet and come in 55g single bags and 175g sharing pouch formats, RRP 49p and £1.28 respectively.
Tony Lorman, Wrigley European confections business unit director, said Skittles has benefited double digit growth for the last four years and is currently growing at 11.4% year-on-year.
“This limited-edition pack will enable consumers to truly ‘taste the rainbow’ and provide an additional sales opportunity to retailers,” he added.
