To capitalise on the popularity of spearmint, Wrigley is bringing back its Extra Ice Spearmint flavour, available to retailers this month.
It is available in 10 pellet packs, RRP 49p and joins the existing Extra range.
The relaunch is the latest in a series of developments from Extra this year, which saw a £15m marketing investment and 40 weeks of TV advertising.
The first six months of the year saw Orbit brought under the Extra brand and the launch of two new soft chew flavours, Strawberry and Bubblegum. Extra has also unveiled an improved recipe and pack design and sponsored National Smile Month.
Julio Guijarro, Wrigley’s marketing director, said: “Customers are seeking a healthy addition to their oral care routine. The re-formulation of Extra Ice Spearmint aims to capitalise on this.”
