Ferrero is offering convenience retailers a chance to win a gold-standard store makeover, worth £3,000.

The campaign will run for six months, culminating in a spring store makeover and aiming to reinforce the importance of all-year round gifting.

This is the second year the company has run the competition.

Levi Boorer, customer development director at Ferrero said: “This year we are looking to help retailers further capitalise on the opportunity before, during and after the festive occasion.

“There is a growing trend for treating and sharing throughout the year, which represents a huge sales potential for retailers that we hope to facilitate by launching a campaign that links together the key trading occasions of Diwali, Christmas and Spring.”

Retailers can register their interest in the competition at more than 40 participating depots. They will then receive a full Ferrero Christmas PoS kit that they will need to install in their store with the assistance of their sales rep.

The 20 runner-up winners will also receive a free 96-piece Ferrero Rocher Cone set to drive attention to the confectionery aisle.

Last year’s winner, Pankkaj Sodha of the Sweet Selection store on London’s Liverpool Street was given a dazzling makeover with made-to-measure window designs, ceiling decorations and product from Ferrero.

Sodha said: “I’m absolutely delighted – the gold grabs a lot of attention and it looks like we could be in for a sparkling Christmas at Sweet Selection.”
