Nestlé is aiming to boost sales of its KitKat Chunky chocolate range this summer with the launch of a limited edition orange flavour.
It marks the first activity on the confectionery range since last year’s Choose a Chunky Champion competition, which saw fans of the brand vote in KitKat Chunky Mint as a permanent line.
Nestlé’s latest line features wafer fingers covered in orange-flavoured milk chocolate (RRP 60p), with stock available from 12 May.

Nestlé UK & Ireland senior corporate communications manager James Maxton said: “Retailers looking to maximise sales should stock up on KitKat Chunky Orange at launch and display off shelf so shoppers cannot miss it.
“What’s more, with young males (18-30 year olds) being the target audience for KitKat Chunky, this limited edition once again offers retailers the opportunity to attract additional younger shoppers into stores.”
The activity follows on from the return of Nestlé’s annual Yorkie Fuel promotion last week. Promotional packs of the chocolate bar will offer shoppers the chance to win a full tank of fuel for their car, with thousands of free Yorkies also up for grabs.
In addition, Nestlé has used its partnership with R&R Ice Cream to launch a KitKat Cone, a wafer cone filled with vanilla and chocolate ice cream with a KitKat finger in the centre.
