United Biscuits (UB) has unveiled a robust range of cakes and snacks for Christmas featuring new lines and old favourites.

Updates for 2014 include Jacob’s Christmas Crackers, a 450g pack filled with cream crackers carrying festive messages (RRP £4.29). The brand will also benefit from a new 170g selection pack (£1) and an 800g tin (£7).

UB will also unveil updated pack designs for its McVitie’s Victoria and Family Circle biscuit selections, while also bringing back Mini Cheddars and Twiglets caddie packs.

Meanwhile, the McVitie’s Cake Company is bolstering its yuletide offering with McVitie’s Festive Faves available in three variants – Chocolate Fudge Cake Bars, Merry Cherry Mini Rolls and Frosty Mint Digestive Slices (all £1).

Hena Chandarana, trade communications controller at UB, said: “Retailers should make sure they have their ‘must stock’ brands including UB’s range of best sellers displayed prominently in store to attract core shoppers to family favourites. The research shows that consumers will return to favourites like these time and time again.”
