United Biscuits is bringing a range of chocolate biscuits to the UK market following success in other parts of Europe.
McVities DeliChoc comes in milk, dark and white chocolate varieties and are available in £1.99 price-marked cases of six or non-price-marked cases of 12, RRP £1.79.
Originating in France and Belgium as part of UB’s Delacre portfolio, DeliChoc’s UK launch will benefit from a £2m marketing investment, with a TV campaign planned for spring. The campaign will also include in-store activation, online marketing, PR and promotion on social media.
Sarah Heynen, marketing director of sweet biscuits at UB, said that they are confident that the success DeliChoc has had on the continent will continue in the UK.
“Our market research shows that biscuit lovers in the UK often enjoy sweet snacks during the evening, and we were looking for a product that offers something a little different in order to meet this trend,” she added.
