Carlsberg has launched three new flavours under its Somersby Cider brand along with new packaging for Somersby Original.

Somersby Blackberry and Somersby Cranberry are available in 4x330ml, RRP £5.00, and 500ml, RRP £1.99. Somersby Apple Burst is available in 4x330ml bottles, RRP £1.89.

The launch will be supported by a £7m marketing campaign, which includes TV and digital advertising and social media activity.

David Scott, director of brand & insight at Carlsberg, said Somersby Cider is growing at 41% year-on-year.

“Cider in the UK is growing faster than the total alcohol category and, in the past 12 months, off-trade sales of fruit flavoured cider grew by 30%,” he added.
