A new cake range called Cakely Co has launched into “the majority” of Scotmid stores, following an initial launch in April.

The range, made by Glasgow-based bakery Cake, is being given the expanded rollout following high demand.

Scotmid has exclusive distribution for the range across Scottish convenience, while it is available for convenience stores in England as well as cafes and hospitality across the UK.

Also available are Small Cake Slices in Marbelous Cake, Millionaire Brownie, Tease Me Brownie, and Sticky Toffee Cake varieties, which come in cases of six at an RRP of £2.99; and Cake Jars, in The Millionaires Feast, Shortcake Stack, Go Nuts with Nutella, Bisc Off Cake with Lotus Biscuits, and Jammy Heart varieties, which come in cases of six with an RRP of £3.99.

Hancocks launches new bakery products to meet growing demand

Lauren Ingram, bakery manager at Cake, said: “We know there’s a real appetite for indulgent treats, particularly those with recognisable ingredients, such as Biscoff, Nutella and Jammy Dodgers.

“We’re delighted that they’re flying off the shelves as they combine bright and colourful packaging which immediately attracts customer attention, with the amazing taste that comes from being hand made with locally-sourced ingredients. “We will be adding new products to the range each month to ensure there’s always a reason for customers to come back for more.”
