Alan Mannings, of Shop on the Green in Chartham, Kent quickly started stocking the product when it became available.

He said: “Sales have been quite slow as we’ve only just started stocking it, but with CCEP’s Fanta marketing campaign and the demand for new flavours, we’re expecting them to pick up quickly.

“It’s also HFSS-compliant, which is a massive bonus to us as retailers. Our aim now is to increase visibility to boost sales.”

A spokesperson for CCEP said: “Fanta Zero Strawberry and Kiwi is a flavour loved by many across the world. Fanta fans in Great Britain have consistently requested for the product to launch in the UK and we’ve listened and have now launched the highy anticipated flavour.

“It has been made with natural flavours and no added sugar. It will be available in 8x330ml multipack cans, and 500ml and 2l bottles, and will be on shelves in select convenience retailers including Londis, One Stop and Budgens across Great Britain.”
