Following Galaxy Duet’s launch last year, Mars Chocolate is bolstering the range with a third flavour, available to convenience retailers now.

Galaxy Duet Toffee & Popcorn is available in singles, RRP 60p, and includes two fingers of Galaxy chocolate, one filled with toffee sauce and the other with salted toffee and popcorn pieces.

The launch will be backed by a £600,000 media spend, including TV ads for four weeks. It will also include social media and digital activity.

Retailers can promote the products in store with PoS, such as pre-filled units and displays.

Galaxy Duet Toffee & Popcorn will join Cookies & Cream and Caramel & Shortcake flavours in the range.

Bep Dhaliwal, trade communications manager for Mars Chocolate, said the investment in advertising would help ensure the new flavour is on shoppers’ minds so retailers should place the product in prominent locations in store.

“Both of our original Galaxy Duet singles have performed well and we’re confident this new combination of indulgent toffee and popcorn pieces will prove equally irresistible to consumers,” she added.
