The new variety is available as part of the symbol‘s most recent promotional period, in 250ml cans at an RRP of 77p. It is part of Coca-Cola’s new Creations series of limited-edition flavours.
It has a similar design to the supplier’s recent USA-exclusive Starlight variety.
One Stop Mount Nod retailer Aman Uppal has seen early success from stocking the product. “I knew about the success of Starlight in the US, so I made a conscious effort to order extra stock,” he said.
“We’ve had 30 cases in this week. We sold over 100 cans on the first day and over 200 cans this week so far, so it’s going well.”
Uppal added the new variety’s mystery flavour was driving shopper interest. “It’s created a real buzz because people were buying it and opening it there and then at the till point, trying to guess the flavour,” he said. “It’s gone down very well with customers and given us something to shout about in store. We all have different ideas of what it is. I’ve got hints of marshmallow, ice cream and cream soda.”
