KP Snacks has launched a Butterkist Toffee Grab Bag 60g, which is now available to independents with an RRP of 89p, aiming to tap into the growing food to go category.

With the food to go sector predicted to grow by 46% by 2022, according to data analysts HIM, the new variant aims to capitalise on the increasing demand for single-serve portions as more shoppers look for convenient snacks.

Andy Riddle, sales director at KP Snacks, said: “Popcorn has been a driver for growth within the crisps, snack and nuts market in the past two years, with the single-serve popcorn category growing at 21.4% year on year.”
