A Nisa forecourt in Leeds has boosted its footfall and sales by tailoring its range to the health needs of nearby gym-goers.

Woodman Service Station, which is managed by Ziheed Muhammed and Idris Patel, is stocking a range of protein shakes, bars and powders £20 cheaper on average than alternatives from the nearby gym. The 2,000sq ft store also has a 20m chiller solely for soft drinks, which includes American products.

The store is to install electric vehicle charging points and introduce the full Co-op own-label range. “We stock something for everyone and have become known for our soft drinks locally,” said Muhammed. “The American drinks in particular fly off the shelves and create a unique point of difference for our store.”
