Walsall Spar relocated

Blakemore has relocated Walsall Spar, its first company-owned store, onto a larger site as part of a store-development strategy for food to go.

First opened in 1985, the new 2,163sq ft site, next door to its original site in Walsall, reopened last month. It has Subway and Greggs concessions and is the first company-owned Spar to open 24 hours. Blakemore Retail managing director Matt Teague said: “Its trading characteristics reflect our store development strategy perfectly and provide wider food choices to local residents.”
