Telegraph print audience remains stable

Meanwhile, their digital audience is growing.

The Telegraph’s print audience has remained relatively stable, with a 0.85% decrease in subscribers from November to December 2020.

According to the Telegraph Media Group (TMG)’s latest subscription figures, the numbers of customers with a print subscription to one of their titles fell slightly from 197,764 to 196,073. Meanwhile, their digital audience grew by 5%.

In a statement, TMG said the figures underpin their “digital transformation” strategy. They added they wish to reach 1 million subscribers by 2023.

The group also attributed their success to a busy news month, in which a new lockdown, and final Brexit negotiations were announced.

The Telegraph opted out of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABCs) in January 2020 and now publish their own monthly subscription figures.
