Hundreds of retailers have already submitted PoS on display in their stores to the newspaper, along with comments on what they have been doing to switch usual customers to subscribers.

A retailer in Devon said: “We have already converted two customers to a subscription.”

Retailers are awarded a £5 Marks & Spencer gift card for displaying PoS, and given the chance to win £20 if a Telegraph mystery shopper visits.

The activity runs until the end of August; for more information, contact NFRN Connect on 0800 121 6376.
