Shopping site to offer click and collect through independents

Online shopping site joins forces with independents to roll out a UK click-and-collect service.

Wish.com partners independents on click and collect

Online shopping site Wish.com is partnering with independent convenience stores to provide click and collect services in the UK.

Confirming a UK rollout of the service, a spokesperson from Wish.com told Better Retailing: “As well as taking commission on every package collected, it drives footfall to Wish Local stores which, in turn, positively impacts revenue. Meanwhile, our customers get their hands on their purchases much earlier due to our partners now storing some of our more popular inventory for same-day collection. The initiative is already in a number of European markets and early results are positive.”

Trudy Davies, of Woosnam & Davies News in Llanidloes, said she signed up in November. “You’ve got to let people know you’re a drop-off point; we have a poster in the window, we use social media and the app tells customer we’re near,” she explained.
